By choosing to view inevitable change in a new light, a group of senior leaders is able to embrace and endorse a new way of working.
 

The Situation:

A senior leadership team at one of Canada’s big banks was in the midst of a transformation. The transformation did not originate with them, but they were responsible for seeing it through. Many of these leaders felt reticent about the transformation and were uncertain how to communicate the change when they were not fully on board with it. Radiate delivered a half-day workshop to address this challenge.

 

The Solution:

• Internal Clarity.
  We began with an exercise in self-reflection in which each leader came to understand their current attitude about this change and explored how that attitude could impact or erode their communication about the change. From there, they explored new ways of thinking about the change. This allowed them to intentionally choose a new perspective from which to communicate when sharing information about the change.

 

• External Influence.
  We helped them approach the situation from their new perspective and clarify the purpose of each communication. They began to focus on their relationships with their audiences over the full implementation of the change rather than taking a transactional approach to each communication. This allowed them to develop clear, consistent, positive messaging, organized thinking and tangible calls to action.

 

The Result:

These executives were able to get behind the change and speak about it authentically, leading to successful implementation and buy-in throughout their organization.
